Today a forty-one year old woman went to the adult education center in her town to take the first steps at getting her G.E.D.
What makes this remarkable is that no one in her family has ever completed high school or gotten their G.E.D. She quit school in the eighth grade, mainly because no one cared.
Her life has not been easy. And she’s made many wrong choices that have resulted in complications along the way.
But today she is taking the first of many positive steps to find a new life for herself.
That is worth celebrating!
