My New Website Launch

It was just a little over two years ago when I started my blog.  My plan was to write articles that would prove interesting and beneficial to folks.  I thought it would help me sharpen my writing skills that I planned to use for writing articles for publications.  Writing books existed only as a dim light on the horizon.

Wow, how little did I know what God had planned!  In the past two years I have published six books and will publish another one this fall.

Those books started with the character, Tucker, someone I created during a writing course I took a few years ago.  I thought it would be interesting to have her be the main character in a book and see how she reacted when she crossed paths with someone who was her total opposite.  That person became the character, Ella.  Thus was born Tucker’s Way.  I have been amazed at the response to this tiny book with a large character at its core.  In the month of June it was downloaded by over 9,000 people!  On the Amazon site, it started out at the bottom like all books do, ranking #1,650,000.  It began a slow climb toward the #1 ranking.  Then suddenly in the past two months it has shot up like a meteor.  Last month it reached #147.

All my books have been launched as ebooks.  But I kept hearing from people who had not yielded to the lure of electronic books and still enjoyed holding and feeling books in their hand.  That’s what caused me to make the decision to start publishing my books one at a time in paperback.  So far the first two Tucker books have been published in paperback.

All of this unexpected success has made it necessary to provide a place people can go to to learn about my books and where they can purchase them.  So – (cue the drumroll and trumpet fanfare) I’m excited to announce my new author website.  davidjohnsonbooks.com will be a one-stop destination for people interested in my books.

I will continue writing articles for my blog, which you can follow here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to each and everyone of you who has sent an encouraging word, bought a book, told your friends to check out my books and helped me spread the word.  But I am especially thankful to God who continues to bless me beyond measure.  Without him, I am nothing.
